Hi. I’m Matt.
I’ve always loved sci-fi and fantasy. Escapism was my thing from the start. It began with Wings by Bill Brittain back in fifth grade. I remember thinking, “Wait… you can read stuff like this?” That moment cracked something open. After that, I devoured whatever I could get my hands on: Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, Harry Potter (by that TERF author), Something Like Summer by Jay Bell.
Later it became TV, especially shows that asked big questions about memory, identity, time, and connection. Killjoys. Sense8. The OA. Supernatural. Pushing Daisies. Arrival. Foundation (still need to read it). I worked nights, and those stories became my constant escape.
I’m proudly self-published. I paint sometimes. I’m also pursuing a math degree because… why not math?
Writing found me when everything else fell apart. After a long relationship ended and my dad passed away, I needed somewhere to put the ache. What started as an escape became structure, then obsession.
Now I live inside the worlds I’ve built, trying to offer something to anyone who’s ever felt like they didn’t quite belong in theirs.
If you’re here, maybe that means something to you too.
